Baroque & baroque revival

Russian baroque architecture has the same distinct difference from other styles as anywhere in the world – “lush” facades, an abundance of stucco, decoration and pretentious elements. In St. Petersburg you will see different variations of this style (Petrine, Elizabethan), which are represented by buildings of the 18th century. Baroque revival style differs only by time – these are baroque buildings that were built later, predominantly in 19th century.
