Bosse H.J.

(1812-1894) Russian architect from Baltic German noble family. Harald Julius von Bosse was born in Riga, he had studied in Dresden, Darmstadt and St. Petersburg, he achieved the title of professor in Imperial Academy of Arts and in 1858 he became court architect. Harald Julius works were influenced by different styles, as eclecticism was popular that time.
Like it goes with all people that have foreign names, Harald Julius von Bosse can be met under names: Garald Andreevich (despite of his father being named Ernest and not Andrey), Harald Ernestovich etc.
